The DQ app enables decision-makers (executivesinorganizations as well as individuals) to apply the conceptsofDecision Quality to improve their decision making.The quality of a decision depends on the followingsixdimensions:1) Defining the appropriate frame (clear purpose,consciousperspective, and defined scope)2) Generating creative and doable alternatives(significantlydifferent, comprehensive, and compellingalternatives)3) Using meaningful, and reliable information (understandingtherelevant and material information includinguncertainties;assessing uncertainties by using reliable sources andavoidingtypical biases)4) Applying clear values and trade-offs (the explicit statementofour wants in terms of decision criteria and the trade-offvaluesamong decision criteria)5) Logically correct reasoning (sometimes this requiresamodel)6) Commitment to action (gaining motivation and commitment toactionfrom the decision-maker(s) and key stakeholders)The DQ app allows users to keep track of thedecision-maker(s)involved in a certain decision, the associateddecision deadlineand the progress on each of the six dimensions ofDecisionQuality.The DQ app users can access a list of guiding questions andadetailed tutorial to understand the concepts of DecisionQualityand to facilitate the application of the concepts toimprovedecision making.
